Our History

Over the past 18 years, Mexican Radio has evolved from a 600 sq.ft ‘jaunty, candlelit shoebox’ on upper Mulberry Street in New York City to the recent acquisition of the 22,000+ sq. ft Imperial Building at 325 State Street in downtown Schenectady.

With their two current locations running at 19 Cleveland Place, NYC and 537 Warren Street, Hudson, NY, Mexican Radio continues to win awards including Best Mexican Restaurant, Best Margaritas and Best Flan in America.

Mexican Radio is a local, independently-owned casual/upscale restaurant with locations in NYC, Hudson and a 3rd location in Schenectady slated to open in late summer 2013.

Our History

Over the past 18 years, Mexican Radio has evolved from a 600 sq.ft ‘jaunty, candlelit shoebox’ on upper Mulberry Street in New York City to the recent acquisition of the 22,000+ sq. ft Imperial Building at 325 State Street in downtown Schenectady.

With their two current locations running at 19 Cleveland Place, NYC and 537 Warren Street, Hudson, NY, Mexican Radio continues to win awards including Best Mexican Restaurant, Best Margaritas and Best Flan in America.

Our History

Since then Mexican Radio spread it’s love up the Hudson Valley to a location on Hudson’s main drag on Warren Street. In 2013 doors will open on its newest venture in downtown Schenectady.

In November of 2012 the dumpster was ordered, the brooms brought out and we got to cleaning out the junk from the old OTB building, our future home. Have a look as some pictures of where we’re starting from, then join us as we build this together.

Our History

Over the past 18 years, Mexican Radio has evolved from a 600 sq.ft ‘jaunty, candlelit shoebox’ on upper Mulberry Street in New York City to the recent acquisition of the 22,000+ sq. ft Imperial Building at 325 State Street in downtown Schenectady.

With their two current locations running at 19 Cleveland Place, NYC and 537 Warren Street, Hudson, NY, Mexican Radio continues to win awards including Best Mexican Restaurant, Best Margaritas and Best Flan in America.

We’re happy to be a new member of the Schenectady Downtown!

In November of 2012 the dumpster was ordered, the brooms brought out and we got to cleaning out the junk from the old OTB building, our future home. Have a look as some pictures of where we’re starting from, then join us as we build this together.

Frozen Margarita

All of our frozen margaritas are blended with top shelf Pura Vida Silver. Local Raspberry/Black Cherry Blend or Traditional Lime. – 10

Banana Chocolate Chimichanga

Soft, ripe bananas and semi-sweet chocolate wrapped inside two cinnamon tortillas and deep fried until melted. Topped with whipped cream and a dark rum sauce. – 12 / Half Order 8

Pastel de Tres Leches “Three Milk Cake”

A dense, moist butter cake topped with sweet cinnamon sauce, freshly whipped local cream and ripe chunks of mango and pineapple. – 9

Flan

Winner of “Best Flan in America” by Latina Magazine. A traditional Mexican dessert of creamy, rich custard topped with a sweet caramel sauce and grated orange zest. – 8

Fajitas (Veggie and Vegan versions available)

Sizzling platter of fresh mixed veggies, peppers and
onions accompany choice of grilled toppings along with sides of grated cheese, guacamole, crema, pico de gallo and a basket of tortillas.
Choose from grill: Sliced Chicken Breast, Steak, Shrimp
Veggie-Friendly: Grilled Portobellos, Tofu or Seitan with sides of Vegan Cheese, Soy Crema. -20

Carne Asada Fries (Veggie and Vegan versions available)

Chunks of marinated grilled steak served on a hefty bed of homemade fries and topped with melted cheese, guacamole, crema and pico de gallo. Served with sides of tomato salsa and chipotle mayo. – 16
Veggie-Friendly version: Substitute Grilled Portobellos, Tofu or Seitan as well as Vegan Cheese, Soy Crema.

Plantain Relleños (Veggie and Vegan versions available)

Sweet, caramelized plantains stuffed with filling, topped with melted cheese and garnished with guajillo pepper sauce and fresh lime crema.
Fillings include: Shredded Chicken, Spicy Ground Beef, Fresh Mixed Veggies or Grilled Seitan. – 18

Pollo Azteca

Thick, juicy pieces of chicken breast sautéed with a mix of peppers and onions then topped with melted cheese.  Choice of house mole, tomatillo, Suiza or tomato-jalapeño sauce. -18

Carnitas

Tender, shredded pork is slow-cooked in a citrus blend of oranges, limes, garlic, and a smoky pepper salsa. Served in a deep dish with a side basket of warm corn or flour tortillas. – 16

Huevos Rancheros (Gluten Free version available)

Local, free range eggs top a flour tortilla and a bed of
rice and beans, pico de gallo, cheese and crema. – 14

Two soft corn tortillas, loaded with melted cheese, topped with pico de gallo, guajillo pepper sauce, lime crèma and queso añejo. – 12

Tostada Magnifica (Veggie and Vegan versions available)

Crispy yellow corn tortilla stacked with choice of filling and a mix of beans, melted cheese, guacamole, pico de gallo, shredded lettuce, crema and tequila-lime dressing. – 16

Flautas (Veggie and Vegan versions available)

Four tightly rolled, deep-fried corn tortilla “cigarillos”, stuffed with fillings and served on a bed of tomato-jalapeño sauce with sides of guacamole and crema. – 15

Enchiladas (Veggie and Vegan versions available)

Your filling wrapped into 2 corn tortillas, rolled and baked. – 16
Top with homemade sauces and drizzled with crema.
Red – Spicy, roasted tomato-jalapeño sauce.
Suiza – Creamy tomatillo sauce.
Salsa Verde – Spicy green tomatillo sauce.
House Mole – Infused with cocoa, raisins and almonds.

Mole Verde – Made with roasted pumpkin seeds and a hint
of spice.
Raspberry-Chipotle Mole – House mole mixed w/ sweet local raspberries.

Chimichanga (Veggie and Vegan versions available)

A spicy mix of roasted corn, chipotle-tomato cream sauce and Muenster cheese, along with your choice of filling, wrapped into a giant tortilla and deep-fried. Topped with guacamole, fresh lime crema and tomato salsa. – 19

Burrito (Veggie and Vegan versions available)
